After earning his undergraduate degree from Brigham Young University, Dr. Steven Johnson earned his D.D.S. degree from the University of the Pacific, where he graduated in 1994. Since then, he has remained up-to-date with his profession through numerous continuing education courses including those in conscious sedation, orthodontics and cosmetic dentistry. Dr. Johnson is also an active member of the dental community, with memberships in the American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry and the California Dental Association. He is currently serving on the National Advisory Board of Lumineers™.
Dr. Mostaghni is a board-certified orthodontist with nearly two decades of experience in dentistry. He is committed to providing the highest level of care and is guided by his favorite quote: "I believe that every patient deserves the best orthodontic experience, and I promise to treat each and every patient like my family."

First off, I’m really not surprised to see so many 5 star ratings.
Secondly, let me tell you all, I’m 40, have been to dental clinics all over the world during my life, literally, and this little clinic in the middle of nowhere is the best experience I had.
Why? Well first off I told the nurse and doctor (in terrible with names, it was the head dentist and his assistant) that it is hard for me to get numb and stay numb. They were very patient and understanding. Most dentists huff and say okay whatever. I didn’t t feel any of the many, many shots I got and he kept me numb throughout. Checking in multiple times. He could tell I was nervous and he treated me with the utmost care. They gave me a pillow and I was really comfortable throughout the procedure.
My favorite part, he communicated with me. So often the dentists treat you like just a set of teeth honestly. Not this doc. He actually told me when the root canal portion was done. That was a first for me.
They also use some of the most up to date technology I’ve ever seen. The scan your tooth with a 3d scanner and it makes a perfect crown in minutes. I was really impressed.
Also, I was originally quoted a hefty after insurance price at the SM place when I got my first exam. I ended up paying significantly less. They said it may have been an error and my insurance may have issues with it, but still. Paying hundreds less than I was expecting was incredible. And it was a very, very decent price to begin with.
So not only are they friendly and caring and do amazing work, it was affordable and lastly, they were really flexible with changing appts.
Thanks to all at the Johnson dental clinic for taking care of someone who loathes the dentist. I will not be dreading my next appointment and that’s HUGE.

Dr. Johnson is a very proficient dentist. He and his staff are welcoming. Dr. Johnson will take his time to explain complex procedures. He is also excellent at filling teeth.
I’ve had a lot of work done here with Dr Johnson in the last 6 months, everything he did for me has been with such kindness, care and making sure I’m comfortable. I recently finished my dental procedures and finished with a cleaning. The hygienist was so gentle and kind, I’ll never be nervous about having that done again. The front desk staff is also wonderful to work with.

Dr. Johnson has possibly the best bedside manner of any dentist I’ve ever had, and his staff is similar, and everyone does a great job. Another thing I love is that , while they suggest certain treatments, they’re not salesy or pushy, work out a reasonable schedule for performing work that aligns with my budget and FSA planning.

#1 Dental procedure experience of my life! I have extreme dental chair anxiety from years of horror stories. I had to have a root canal & had never been here before. Dr. Steve and his staff are all absolutely amazing!! Excellent communication before, during, and after procedure. I had no anxiety as he talked me through every step and allowed time for numbing to take effect before adding more or starting to work on it. We used hand signals throughout the process... mostly thumbs up from me. Oxygen was used to reverse the effects of the gas I opted for, so I was able to drive myself home. I live an hour away, and it is worth the commute to finally have a dentist whom I can honestly say I fully trust. (Never thought I would ever say that sentence!) My tooth is no longer killing me, and I don't have to be afraid of dental care ever again. Thanks, Dr. Steve! You are the BEST!!! See you soon.
This was the best experience I have had with a dental office. The front desk staff were easy to talk to & very helpful. The dental assistants were friendly & quite knowledgeable. I can't rave enough about Dr. Johnson himself. I needed my first root canal & had heard only horror stories. Dr. Johnson explained everything beforehand in terms that I could understand. I felt next to nothing the entire procedure except from holding my mouth open for that long. I've had many shots from fillings and such over the years and all were quite painful. I did not feel one of the multiple shots that I was given. Post procedure there was little to no pain at all. My only wish is for their office to take a wider range of health plans. I recently had to switch insurance and, unfortunately, my new one (DeltaCare USA) is not accepted there.

Having worked in the dental field I am hyper aware of details. The facility is modern and very clean, the staff polite, professional, uniformly dressed and better than average looking. The treatment rooms have digital xray, and all the modem equipment. They are very thoroughly and patient not settling in for less than perfect. I went in to have my crown installed but the margins we're a millimeter or so of so they prepped for a new one to be made. The best part is it doesn't smell like a dentist office of the past.
I got two filling done and didn’t feel anything they gave me breaks and made sure I wasn’t in any pain. I would recommend going here they are all so nice and good at what they do.

I would recommend Dr. Coates any day of the year he is very professional he took a lot of time with me details of what he was going to be doing the work on my mouth I felt literally no pain during the procedure And after the procedure I felt very little pain if any at all I was really surprised at that because I expected to feel some pain since the surgery on my mouth would be extensive. My last visit to an endodontist was a complete nightmare full of pain during the procedure and two weeks after the procedure but the visit with Dr. coach was the exact opposite if you have any apprehension Dr. coach of the person you need to go see.

First visit was today. Check-in was easy, I filled out all the paperwork online before coming in. All the staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. The office was under construction but kept very clean. X-rays were taken and were done easily. Everything was explained very well. No complaints and will be keeping them as my new dentist

I came to Johnson dental feeling ashamed and embarrassed about the condition of my teeth. After my first exam, we set up a treatment plan to get my oral hygiene back on track. To this day I have never felt judged or uncomfortable during my visits as a matter of fact THEY FEEL LIKE FAMILY!

I had a great experience at Johnson Dental Family. The staff is always cheerful especially in the early morning and you are always welcome. My procedure was painless and my dentist made sure that I was comfortable. I like it when you want something done they will include you insurance and tell you need to pay out of pocket. I like that because I don't like surprises.
